Are you a skilled problem-solver who enjoys working with your hands and being out in the field? We are seeking an Energetic, Motivated Water Well Pump and Drilling Field Service Technician to join the team at Marcus Well Drilling Inc. We are looking to add someone with Water Well Drilling and Water Pump Service experience. Pipe Fitting / Sizing is also helpful. The ideal Candidate will be a Self-Starter who works well independently as well as someone who can contribute to a team.

Key Responsibilities

Diagnose & Repair: Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical failures in wells and water pumps (submersible and jet pumps), and Water Pressure Systems and VFD Constant Pressure Systems.

Installation & Maintenance: Install pumps, pressure systems, and water lines. Perform routine preventative maintenance to ensure system longevity.

Field Testing: Test water flow and quality, pressure, and electrical currents using specialized meters and tools to ensure optimal system performance.

Customer Service: Explain technical issues and solutions clearly to customers, and provide exceptional service on-site. Must have great people skills.

Documentation: Maintain accurate records of work orders, parts used, and services performed.

Safety First: Adhere to all safety protocols, including OSHA standards, while operating service trucks, hoist equipment, and hand/power tools.


Qualification and Skills

Experience: Experience in pump service, well drilling, plumbing, or industrial mechanical maintenance is preferred, but we will train the right candidate with strong mechanical/electrical transferable skills.

Pipe Fitting / Sizing experience is helpful

Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of single-phase and three-phase electrical systems, controls, and basic hydraulics is helpful and preferred, but not required.

Customer Service: Explain technical issues and solutions clearly to customers, and provide exceptional service on-site. Must have great people skills.

Physical Stamina: Ability to lift up to 75 lbs, work in various weather conditions, and handle physically demanding tasks (bending, kneeling, climbing).

License: Must possess a valid CDL Driver’s License with a clean driving record, or willingness to obtain a CDL.

Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving abilities, Energetic, Motivated, with a strong Work Ethic

Must be able to work independently as well as being a Team Player.

Availability: Monday – Friday work schedule with lots of overtime available. No overnights. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to be home nightly and work overtime with very limited weekends.
